Biography:

Prior to Lovell, I taught at a nationally ranked public school in the Pittsburgh area. My background is quite diverse. I graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a B.S. in Business Administration, where I majored in Economics and minored in Philosophy. During and after college, I worked for The Innocence Project, a non-profit law firm that works to prove the innocence of wrongly convicted individuals and improve the criminal justice system. After that, I switched to the private equity field, helping manage the acquisition of million-dollar companies. While working, I also earned a Master's of Arts in Secondary English Teaching from Duquesne University. One of the main reasons I was drawn to Lovell Academy is its connection to hockey. Growing up, I played AAA hockey for Team Maryland and played at the Prep level at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD. I then played at the ACHA Division 1 level at Duquesne University and was named a captain during my senior year. After Graduating, I returned to the ice as a coach. For the past four seasons, I have coached AAA hockey with the Esmark Stars with their U12, U13, U15, U16, and U18 teams. I am very excited to be Lovell and have the opportunity to teach at a school that focuses on student development and incorporates hockey into students' learning.
